I and I Gallery, also known as Incense and Imports, and Tay's, in times past is a family owned and operated business that was conceived by God's inspiration and started by Cheryl Valley in 1988. Our business began with all the nuclear family working, in the Baden Savings Center at 8350 North Broadway. We began selling miniature original perfumes, bath salts, and jewelry. We later added original fragrances and small gifts. The business expanded to add to our inventory, fragrant body oils. After four years at this location, we moved to the University City Loop and opened doors at 6606 Delmar and the University City Market. We remained there for about one and one half years and continued to operate at Soulard Farmer's Market simultaneously.

Searching for a more central location within the city, we moved to 3238 South Grand, then 3194 South Grand. We operated these two front line stores for 6 years, and kept our Soulard location open also. We had great fun on those days, meeting new costumers and designing and decorating our stores.

After six years of operating our front line stores, we agreed to put all of our effort into operating the Soulard Market location, where we have been for the past 30 years.

Our wonderful costumers and friends have witnessed our continuous progress and growth and seen the three sons grow from boys to men. We still offer the same, wonderful, excellent quality products we always have which has enabled us to keep many loyal customers (some for thirty years) and expand to include many new customers and friends.Twelve years ago, Blake (son number two) took hold the reins of the business and has done a tremendous job of expanding the business and maintaining excellent quality, hand-made soap, incense, fragrances, and our original fine lotion, which will be marketed world-wide soon.

We thank God and all of our wonderful customers, family, and friends for engaging in our prosperity and progress. We are looking forward to doing phenomenal things in the near future.
